About Emily
With a BS in Dietetics from Central Michigan University and seven years working as an RDN, I bring experience from culinary medicine, community nutrition, and general health and wellness into every conversation. I use food as an opportunity to make my life healthier, happier, and more delicious. Outside of work you’ll find me cooking, traveling, practicing yoga, rollerskating, or learning something new.
Approach to care
Evidence guides my work, but sustainable change happens in the context of your daily life. I combine science-backed strategies with warm, empathetic support so we can set clear, practical steps and measure progress without shame. I practice in a weight-neutral, behavior-focused way that honors the whole person, including mental and emotional wellbeing. We’ll learn together, build skills you can keep, and stay accountable to realistic, long-term habits rather than quick fixes.
Your first session with Emily
We'll begin by reviewing your medical history and talking through how food currently fits into your life, including routines, barriers, and what brings you joy. This is a judgment-free, low-pressure conversation, so you don’t need to have all the answers or a perfect food log. Together we’ll identify a couple of clear, manageable steps to try, and plan how to follow up so progress feels steady and achievable rather than overwhelming.
