About Emily
Hello! I’m a Dietitian with a down-to-earth approach to nutrition and a passion for helping people feel better in their bodies. I offer support that’s personalized, practical, and rooted in science. Whether you’re managing a health condition, making peace with food, or just looking for sustainable guidance—I’ll meet you where you are, no judgment. My own experience with restrictive eating in high school opened my eyes to how misunderstood nutrition can be—and how powerful it is when we truly nourish ourselves. That experience led to a career I love: helping others untangle the confusion around food and reconnect with their bodies in a more supportive way. Over the years, I’ve worked in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and addiction treatment settings, supporting people through challenges like diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, digestive issues, and disordered eating. I believe healing happens best when you feel heard, respected, and supported.
Approach to care
My approach is all about meeting you where you are. I take a weight-inclusive, non-diet perspective that focuses on what we can add to your plate—not what to take away. No strict rules, no guilt—just realistic, nourishing choices that work for your real life. I believe food should feel supportive, not stressful. That means building sustainable habits, embracing all food groups (yes, that includes your favorites!), and shaping your nutrition goals to fit your lifestyle—not the other way around.
Your first session with Emily
Our first session is all about getting to know you. We'll take time to explore your health history, relationship with food, current habits, goals, and any challenges you're facing. This is a judgment-free space where you're encouraged to show up exactly as you are—no need to have it all figured out! I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and work with you to start identifying realistic, meaningful steps toward your goals. We won’t be counting calories or cutting out entire food groups—instead, we’ll focus on nourishment, balance, and strategies that fit into your life, not fight against it. By the end of the session, you'll walk away with a clearer understanding of how we can work together and a plan that feels doable—not overwhelming. This is the start of a supportive partnership, and you're in the driver’s seat. I’m here to guide, educate, and cheer you on every step of the way.
