About Emily
With over 30 years in the nutrition field, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals improve their health, primarily in outpatient settings such as cardiac rehab, diabetes education, and a hospital-based fitness center. I am also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). In these many roles, I’ve taught group classes and provided one-on-one nutrition education and coaching to all ages with varying health issues. My goal is to deliver compassionate, personalized care while offering evidence-based recommendations that encourage sustainable, lifelong habits.
Approach to care
My approach to nutrition-related care is centered on you as an individual. Understanding that everyone has unique learning styles, backgrounds, and needs, we will work together to find sustainable, manageable ways to achieve your goals. I aim to equip you with the tools for success, acknowledging that life’s highs and lows can affect our journeys. By getting to know you better through recurring sessions, I can tailor my support to fit your unique circumstances and the season of life you’re in.
Your first session with Emily
In our first session, my priority will be to get to know you and understand your reasons for seeking support. I’ll ask many questions related to your eating patterns, lifestyle, and health history. By the end of our time together, we’ll establish some goals or action items to help maintain momentum in our future sessions.
