About Emily
Are looking for a quick way to lose 10 pounds, a pre-made meal plan, or a "yes man" type provider? If you are, I am not the Dietitian for you. If you're motivated, ready for change, want accountability, to feel your best, and build sustainable habits, then hey, I'm Emma, your new Dietitian! My specialties include working with martial artists, equestrians, farmers/homesteaders, gym goers, and anyone ready to stop giving into excuses. Why? Because I've been all of those things, I know just how important it is to have support and healthy habits to get you through. If you're starting from rock bottom, or just need a little help, I am here to take your hand and guide you the rest of the way. I can't wait to meet you and help you succeed at your goals!
Approach to care
My goal is for you to have the confidence and knowledge so you never need a Dietitian again. I do this by helping you build small sustainable changes. I mix evidence-based nutrition information with out of the box thinking that fits your lifestyle. This is more then education, it's mindset work. I encourage mindset development and growth to foster sustainable and repeatable lifestyle change. I use a variety of tools such as intuitive eating, macro counting, non-scale and scale victories to help do this. Each client has their own individual struggles, so not all tools are used, but can be applied if needed.
Your first session with Emily
Expect a kind, relaxed, and educational atmosphere! Initial sessions are primarily information gathering and getting to know each other. We'll review your health history, what diets or changes you've tried before, what worked and what didn't work. We'll dig into your "why" and motivations for lifestyle change. We'll not only look at nutrition, but also your sleep, stress level, and daily habits. Nutrition impacts so much of your life, and I want to coach you through it all! Towards the end of the session we'll make some initial goals to set you up for a successful first week!
