About Emily

I’m a Registered Dietitian & Board-Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition with 10+ years of experience helping people regain control of their health. I’m based in Jacksonville, FL, originally from Milwaukee, WI, & grew up in Oviedo, FL. My work is driven by a passion for helping people move from confusion & frustration to clarity. I specialize in chronic kidney disease (CKD), weight management (loss or gain), cholesterol & blood pressure reduction, tube feeding, & supplement optimization. My approach is practical, evidence-based, & personalized, because real life does not fit cookie-cutter plans. I believe optimal health is priceless. Helping someone feel strong & hopeful again, especially when it helps delay or avoid dialysis, is deeply meaningful to me. I stay current through conferences & peer-reviewed research & teach as an adjunct professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville. This work is not just my career. It is my purpose. πŸ“Έ Instagram: @nusparkle_nutrition

Approach to care

I believe every food fits. Nutrition should not feel restrictive or punishing. It should feel empowering and sustainable. With degrees in both Psychology and Nutrition & Dietetics, I take a true mind-body approach, helping you improve not only your physical health, but also the mindset and habits that make change last. I go beyond meal plans to help you build confidence, consistency, and trust in your food choices so you stop starting over. My approach is realistic, personalized, and judgment-free. I look at the whole picture, including nutrition, fitness, stress, sleep, and mental well-being, because lasting results do not come from focusing on just one piece. This is nutrition designed to support you for the long run. 🫢🏼

Your first session with Emily

In our first session, I make sure you feel heard, supported, & unhurried. This is a judgment-free space focused on understanding you, not "fixing" you. We look at the full picture, including routines, eating patterns, movement, sleep, stress, energy, mood, & symptoms. I review your medical history, labs, medications, & supplements to identify priorities & a clear starting point. With my background in psychology & nutrition, we go beyond what you eat & uncover why patterns keep showing up. That insight makes change feel doable instead of exhausting. Together, we clarify your goals, whether that is more energy, less pain, better digestion, kidney protection, improved mobility, or confidence in your body. You will leave with a 1) personalized plan, 2) clear next steps, 3) guidance on labs or supplements if needed, 4) support & accountability to move forward. I am here to help you regain your sparkle πŸ“βœ¨
