About Emily
Emily Gerlach, Registered and Licensed Dietitian, graduated from University of Dayton where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. Next, she graduated from Benedictine University, where she obtained her Master of Science in Nutrition and Wellness and completed her Dietetic Internship. Prior to joining Nourish, Emily most recently provided individual nutrition counseling at a community health center specializing in LGBTQIA+ and HIV care. Emily has provided nutrition counseling and education to thousands of patients on topics including but not limited to: disordered eating and eating disorders, diabetes, heart health, and healthy eating on a budget.
Approach to care
Emily's focus is to support you in making realistic, sustainable, and safe food and nutrition-related changes. Emily will meet you where you are - recommendations and care plans are catered to your specific needs and goals.
Your first session with Emily
In your first session together, Emily will spend time getting to know you and conducting a thorough nutrition assessment. During this time, you will discuss your medical/nutrition history, relevant lab work, lifestyle/food-related habits, hydration/nutrition status, in addition to other topics the RD sees relevant. Together, you will set individualized short- and long- term goals, to work towards creating sustainable habits.
