About Emily
Nutrition has felt like both science and home to me since graduate school. With an MS in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama and five years working in clinical and hospital settings, I bring practical, research-based care to everyday life. As a Registered Dietitian, I focus on simplifying nutrition so it actually fits your schedule and goals. Outside the clinic you'll often find me on my mat doing yoga or pilates, experimenting with recipes in the kitchen, or curled up with a good book.
Approach to care
I use current evidence and real-world experience to help you build habits that last. As an RD, I prioritize a weight-neutral, Health At Every Size outlook, so we focus on behaviors, not numbers on a scale. Our work will be warm and nonjudgmental, and also direct and action-oriented. We'll translate science into clear, manageable steps, educate you along the way, and shape a holistic plan that respects your physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs for sustainable change.
Your first session with Emily
We'll start by reviewing your medical history and the routines that shape your days, so I can understand the full picture. The conversation is low-pressure and judgment-free, and you do not need to have everything figured out. From that foundation we'll set a couple of short-term, realistic goals to get started. Expect practical, evidence-based suggestions and an educational, collaborative plan so we can adjust as you make progress.
