About Emily
Hi! My name is Emily and I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 10 years. I am married and have two young children. My career began working with pre and post natal women and their children where I became a North Carolina Lactation Educator, then I moved on to working with the 55+ age group where I helped them improve everyday living activities through exercise along with making reasonable diet changes.
Approach to care
Eating should not be hard and full of rules. I believe in “all foods fit” and the only foods you should never eat are those you are allergic to or do not like. I will help you find a way to meet your health goals while not depriving you of foods you enjoy.
Your first session with Emily
We will start by getting to know each other and talking about your health goals. We will discuss health history, nutrition background, and barriers that you have encountered in the past, and then make a personalized plan on how to reach those health goals. Each session we will reflect on what worked and adjust goals as needed.
