About Emily

Hi, I’m Emily, a Registered Dietitian based in Connecticut. With 25 years of experience, I’ve worked in weight management, diabetes, and research, helping people make lasting changes tailored to their life and needs. Whether you have conditions that need diet education specifically to manage, or you're an elite athlete, or you're a Mom managing a home and family, we will find a plan that fits YOU. I hold a MS in Nutrition with Highest Honors; my credentials include MS, CDN, RDN, LD, and RD. I’m also a Certified Personal Trainer with ACE, and I’m the GLP-1 RD on social media. I conducted the diet and exercise arms of the clinical trials that brought GLP-1s to market AND am a GLP-1 patient MYSELF. As a lifelong food noise survivor and former binge eater, I understand how life changing these peptides can be. I am compound and peptide friendly, as well. Outside of work, I love rock and roll, Siamese cats, movie trivia, and thoughtful conversations about food and life!

Approach to care

Guiding my care is an evidence-based, empathetic framework that puts you at the center. I’ll share science in plain language, but I’ll listen first and meet you where you are. We’ll set realistic goals, build practical steps, and adjust as life changes. Come to sessions with a desire to learn how to eat and never "diet" again. I practice with an open mindset, focusing on behaviors and health rather than a number on the scale. My approach is holistic, honoring sleep, stress, movement, and mood as they relate to eating. Education is woven into every session so you can own your decisions and sustain healthy habits long term. As a personal trainer, we use follow up to tailor exercise and fitness into your care plan, taking your time and experience into account.

Your first session with Emily

Our first appointment is a warm, no-pressure conversation about YOU. We’ll review your medical history, discuss short-term goals, and take a deep dive into your lifestyle and relationship with food. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. I’ll guide you through what matters most, and together we’ll start with 1 or 2 actionable steps you can begin this week. You’ll leave with clarity, support, and a plan that fits your life! We may even have a few good laughs!
