About Emily

Hi, I’m Emily, a Registered Clinical Dietitian with over four years of experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center, supporting patients with complex medical needs across acute and critical care settings. My background includes medical nutrition therapy for chronic disease management, surgical and trauma recovery, gastrointestinal disorders, and advanced nutrition support. I take a patient-centered, evidence-based approach, focusing on practical, sustainable nutrition strategies that fit your lifestyle, not restrictive or one-size-fits-all plans. I’m passionate about meeting clients where they are, translating nutrition science into clear guidance, and helping build confidence in nutrition choices. I’m passionate about meeting clients where they are and helping them build confidence in their nutrition choices. I look forward to partnering with you on your health journey.

Approach to care

My approach to care is patient-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based. I believe nutrition should be realistic, sustainable, and tailored to each individual’s medical history, lifestyle, and personal goals. Working in a Level 1 trauma center has taught me the importance of meeting patients where they are and adapting care plans to complex, real-world situations. I focus on building practical strategies rather than restrictive rules, helping clients understand the why behind nutrition recommendations so they feel empowered and confident in their choices. I take time to listen, assess the whole picture, and create personalized plans that support healing, disease management, and long-term health. I value clear communication, consistency, and accountability, and I view our work as a partnership. My goal is to provide guidance that fits into your life while supporting measurable progress and lasting change.

Your first session with Emily

Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll take time to review your health history, nutrition concerns, lifestyle, and goals so I can understand the full picture, not just numbers or diagnoses. We’ll discuss your current eating patterns, medical history, labs (if available), and any challenges you’ve been facing. I’ll also ask about your routines, preferences, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. This helps ensure our plan is realistic and tailored specifically to you. By the end of the session, you can expect clear, practical next steps, not an overwhelming list of rules. Together, we’ll identify achievable goals and create a personalized plan that fits your life and supports your health needs. You’ll leave with guidance you can start using right away, as well as a plan for follow-up and ongoing support. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and confident as we begin working together.
