“Emmy is kind, caring, patient, and non-judgemental. When I’ve felt like I wasnt doing well in my goals, she encouraged me just how well I was actually doing. She understands how to help you create sustainable changes in lifestyle. The kind of care and accountability she provides really helps you feel equipped and enabled to keep trying, keep learning, and stay curious. I have learned so much and every time we meet I’m feeling more and more capable. Thank you Emmy for all your patience and care! “

About Emily
Hi, I'm Emily, a Registered Dietitian based in Hollywood. With six years in the field, my work spans clinical and hospital settings as well as research in academia. I write for a health promotion website, requiring that I stay up to date on public health interests and burgeoning nutritional science. I earned a Masters in Public Health Nutrition from Loma Linda University and a biology degree with a psychology minor from Bridgewater College. Outside of work I love riding horses, practicing Pilates, hiking, reading, traveling, and exploring coffee spots. I aim to bring warmth, curiosity, and practicality to every session, helping you feel capable and seen as you navigate your health goals.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends science with humanity. I stay grounded in current evidence and proven nutrition approaches while centering your values, culture, and daily life. We’ll work together in a collaborative, non judgmental way, translating research into clear, doable steps. I emphasize sustainable changes over quick fixes. Holistic care means I look at sleep, mood, stress, relationships, and environment as they influence what and how we eat. Education is at the heart of my practice, so you leave with knowledge you can use long term.
Your first session with Emily
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll start by reviewing your medical history, current eating patterns, and the goals you want to reach. This is a judgment-free, low-pressure conversation designed to help us understand what matters most to you. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet; we’ll explore what feels doable and important to your life. Together, we’ll set short-term goals that are specific and realistic, and I’ll outline practical steps to support you between visits. I love to truly get to know my patients so I can tailor a plan and strategy that is achievable for you. I want you to feel heard, supported, and confident about taking the next steps.
