About Emily

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later attended college in Lexington, Virginia. After graduation, I had the opportunity to live and work in Madrid, Spain, an experience that broadened my perspective on culture, food, and lifestyle. Following my time abroad, I returned home to Cincinnati, where my own personal weight loss and health journey inspired me to pursue a new path. Motivated by the transformative impact that nutrition had on my life, I decided to go back to school to study Dietetics so I could help others improve their health and well-being through evidence-based nutrition care.

Approach to care

Education is central to my approach. I focus on helping individuals understand the “why” behind nutrition recommendations and how food impacts the body and overall health. I teach practical skills such as meal planning, label reading, and portion awareness. Together, the client and I work on brainstorming strategies to navigate real-life challenges. My goal is to build confidence and autonomy. When clients understand the science and reasoning behind recommendations, they are more likely to make sustainable choices and feel in control of their health. I strive to create a non-judgmental space where questions are encouraged and learning is collaborative.

Your first session with Emily

Your first session is all about getting to know you. This is a supportive, judgment-free space where we’ll discuss your health history, lifestyle, goals, and any concerns you may have about nutrition. During this session, we may cover: your medical history, current diagnoses, medications and supplements, eating patterns, food preferences, work schedule, activity level, sleep, and stress. By the end of the session, you can expect: clear, personalized recommendations, 1–3 practical goals to begin working on, education to help you understand the “why” behind recommendations, and collaborative plan for follow-up and continued support.
