About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily, and I am a Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping people improve their health and build a positive relationship with food. I grew up in a small agricultural town in California, where I had the opportunity to raise livestock and assist in crop management. These experiences ignited my interest in food and nutrition, which led me to dietetics. During and after my Master’s degree, I gained experience working with diverse populations. I've worked with farmers' markets, led classes at culinary medicine teaching kitchens, and provided nutrition education in the various settings. I’ve also had the privilege of counseling individuals and helping them make informed, mindful decisions that align with their health goals and lifestyles. As a dietitian, I aim to help clients make lasting changes without feeling restricted or overwhelmed. I’m here to support you in understanding nutrition, improving your health, and finding a balanced approach that works for you.

Approach to care

My approach to nutrition focuses on what we can add to your plate, not just what we take away. I believe that nutrition care is not one-size-fits-all, so we’ll work together to make personalized adjustments to your diet and lifestyle that align with your unique needs. My goal is to help you build sustainable habits that support not only your nutrition but also movement, stress management, and sleep—the pillars of health. At each visit, we’ll set and adjust short-term and long-term goals to help you make progress toward your larger health objectives. As your dietitian, I will be here to support you every step of the way, ensuring each goal is personalized, achievable, and sustainable.

Your first session with Emily

In our first session, my goal is to truly get to know you. I'll be exploring your eating habits, relationship with food, lifestyle, and medical history, as well as understanding what you hope to achieve through our work together. The more I learn about you—your food preferences, how you manage stress, and other factors that influence your nutritional health—the better equipped I’ll be to create a personalized, sustainable plan that supports your needs. Our first session will lay the foundation for the work we do together as we focus on improving both your nutrition and overall lifestyle.
