About Emily
Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a Registered Dietitian with two years of experience and I earned my MS in Nutrition from Illinois State University, where I also completed my BS in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics. My work has taken me from Community Health to supporting people with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart health concerns, high cholesterol and blood pressure, and weight management. I’m passionate about helping people make small, sustainable changes that fit their lives. When I’m not working, you’ll find me working out, hanging with friends and family, thrift shopping, reading a book or catching a concert. I tailor plans to your likes and dislikes, because lasting change starts with what you can actually do.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence-based guidance with genuine warmth. I practice a health at every size-informed approach that honors your body and your values, focusing on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. We’ll translate the latest science into practical steps that fit your life, from meals you enjoy to routines that work around your work and family. I’m here to listen with empathy, offer clear, actionable strategies, and educate you so you feel confident making decisions that support your health for the long term.
Your first session with Emily
Our first appointment is all about you. We’ll review your medical history, talk through any lab work or biometrics, and explore your relationship with food, daily routines, and goals. You don’t need to have everything figured out; I meet you where you are and we’ll set 1–2 small, achievable goals to start. This is a judgment-free space, focused on collaboration and sustainable change. Together we’ll establish short-term steps and how we’ll track progress, so you feel supported and confident moving forward.
