About Emma

I have been practicing as a Master's level Registered Dietitian for over 10 years. I have experience compassionately counseling clients in many areas and from a variety of backgrounds. I work with individuals who have diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, weight loss/gain needs and more. I also have a passion for working with children of all ages and their families (such as those with picky eating, disabilities, and more). Personally, I have been living with Celiac disease for most of my life, so I can empathize with the challenges of learning how to make changes in the way you eat while still enjoying life and good food!

Approach to care

I treat each person individually depending on their needs/goals, background, and personal preferences. I like to build a good rapport with, and gain trust from each person I work with. I have extensive training in and practice motivational interviewing in my sessions. I believe that we should find balanced ways to enjoy the food that we eat and eat the foods that we enjoy without judgement. I want to help keep nutrition and mealtimes as simple and stress free as possible as we work together on goals and changes that feel right for you!

Your first session with Emma

The first session will be spent getting to know each other! My focus is to learn about you, your goals, and how I can support you on your journey. We will review what to expect, discuss medical and other pertinent background/assessment information, and answer any questions you have. If time allows, we will set small goals to work on prior to the next meeting.
