About Emma
Emma believes everyone deserves to feel at home in their body and have a healthy relationship with food. She has experienced the power of a meaningful, positive relationship with the body through the principles of Intuitive Eating and her yoga practice. She understands that we are SO much more than what we eat. Emma has experience treating both adult and teen clients with eating disorders at the Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient level of care. Emma also completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India, and teaches classes as a Certified Yoga Teacher at her local studio. She understands how crucial embodiment and mind-body practices can be when exploring relationships to food and/or body.
Approach to care
Emma follows a non-diet, Health at Every Size approach. This includes a focus on sustainable habits, mental/emotional/social well-being, health markers that are within our control, and how you are feeling in your body. Emma takes a client-centered approach to nutrition counseling, taking care to integrate her client’s own values, goals, and motivations. You run the show!
Your first session with Emma
In your first session you can expect laid-back introductions, some (possibly boring) information gathering, and a safe place to share your story. This meeting is also a time to learn about your values, goals, and motivations, and discuss our path forward.
