About Emma

I’m Emma Jensen, MS, RDN, LD, a Minnesota-based dietitian who blends science, humanity, and real-world practicality to help people build a life they love through food. My passion for nutrition began with my own experience navigating celiac disease, which sparked a lifelong curiosity about how food shapes health, identity, and overall well-being. I believe nutrition should feel empowering—not restrictive. I meet each client exactly where they are, guiding them with compassion, humor, and a “no boring food” philosophy that prioritizes enjoyment and flexibility. My work spans both clinical and community settings, including child and family nutrition, chronic disease management, mental health–informed nutrition care, and breastfeeding education. From community cooking classes and grocery store tours to clinical care for individuals across the lifespan, I bring a well-rounded, culturally aware approach to my work—shaped in part by my time working with the Ho-Chunk Nation.

Approach to care

I take a real world approach to food, I understand that we live in the real world and there are challenges that come along with it. I vow to meet you where you are and to adjust to your needs from me to help you be the person you want to be. I am not the food police, I am a firm believer in all foods fitting into a healthy diet, I would rather focus on what we can add to your diet instead of taking away. Diets are a short term fix to a long term issue, but sustainable lifestyle changes can help you find long term solutions you can be proud of.

Your first session with Emma

In our first session, I would like to get to know you as a person and what your lifestyle is. I will ask about your goals, both short term and long term and how you hope to accomplish them. I will also share a little bit more about myself so that you can feel confident in who you are partnering with. I will become your biggest cheerleader and will celebrate every win, and be encouraging with any setback.
