About Emma
Emma is a Registered Dietitian from New Orleans with 7 years of experience facilitating change in individuals from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles. She started her career in an outpatient setting, with pre and post bariatric surgery and ESKD/dialysis, as well as associated disease states, being at the forefront of her focus. Emma also has experience partnering with restaurants, chefs, festivals, and grocery stores in a community-based non-profit initiative. In her time as a dietitian, she has had the great opportunity to guide many in achieving successful health-related outcomes by developing a balanced approach that suits their unique health and medical needs.
Approach to care
Emma is an open-minded and fun-spirited dietitian who strives to respect individuals for who they are and meet everyone where they are at. As a food lover, she understands that food is not just fuel, but also culture, connection, and lifestyle. She stands by removing morality from both food and food choices, freeing you to make consistent efforts that align with your goals, so you can learn to feel at ease with your choices. She loves to support in a way that fosters balance and enjoyment, to empower you to develop habits that are sustainable long-term. Through guidance and teamwork she believes that life can be lived well while pursuing your health goals.
Your first session with Emma
Your initial session with Emma is a time to set the foundation and get to know you as an individual. In addition to discussing your background such as medical history, medications, and eating patterns and preferences, she will also ask about your day-in-the life - including sleep, movement, family, and social commitments, to construct a full picture of what it means to be you. Together, you will explore your needs and goals and begin to develop practical ways to achieve them. After all, this is all about implementing strategies that will work for you!
