About Erica
Taking the first step toward better health is often the hardest, and I commend you for being here. I understand how easy it is to operate on auto-pilot, prioritizing daily distractions over genuine self-care. With over a decade of experience in nutrition education and counselingāranging from hospital-based clinical practice to community health programsāI bring a wealth of professional knowledge to our sessions. However, my approach is equally informed by my personal life. As a parent of two, including a child with a rare autoimmune disorder, I am intimately familiar with how lifeās unpredictable circumstances shape our well-being. My goal is to help you recognize the strength you already possess and navigate your health journey with realism and compassion.
Approach to care
My practice sits at the intersection of evidence-based science and real-world empathy. While I stay grounded in current research, I believe data is useless if it doesn't fit your reality. We will work together to develop clear, actionable steps that integrate seamlessly into your life, prioritizing sustainable behavioral changes over quick fixes. Through a Health At Every Size (HAES) lens, we will shift the focus from numbers on a scale to your overall well-being. By addressing your emotional, mental, and physical health as one connected story, I aim to empower you with education and tools you can use every single day.
Your first session with Erica
Our initial appointment is a dedicated, judgment-free space focused entirely on you. Rather than a rigid clinical interview, view this as a collaborative conversation designed to uncover what matters most to your health. We will review your medical history, discuss your current routines, and explore your relationship with food. You do not need to have it all figured out before you arrive; we will work together to identify one or two practical goals and outline simple steps you can take immediately. You deserve support, clarity, and a plan that honors your specific life circumstances.

Outside of the office, I am an avid Hot Yoga practitioner. I enjoy the discipline required to stay focused in high-intensity environments, using the practice to reset and maintain mental clarity. I believe in rising to the challenge every day. And it is this mindset that teaches me resilience and consistency regardless of the environment.
