About Ericka
Hi! My name is Ericka, and Iāve been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for more than 10 years. I have worked with hundreds of patients in a variety of settings from a hospital outpatient clinic to an employee assistance program. Iāve always loved food but didnāt know much about nutrition until I was an adult. I started feeling lightheaded and my doctor told me I needed to eat more protein in my diet. I was embarrassed that I didnāt really know what she meant. My curiosity was piqued, and I started learning that my food choices could make a big impact in how I felt. I eventually went back to school to study nutrition and became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist! My mission is to help you love the way food makes you feel.
Approach to care
I have a non-diet approach and believe all foods can fit into an overall healthy eating pattern. I want you to enjoy your food! Weāll work together to customize food suggestions based on your health concerns, taste preferences and style of eating. I offer practical advice and recommend simple, actionable steps to start building healthy habits right away.
Your first session with Ericka
I will listen to your story and will care deeply about what brought you here. Weāll discuss (without any judgement) your goals, lifestyle, health history, and eating habits. Together, weāll build a plan for realistic lifestyle change that includes both short and long-term goals. Iād like to meet with you weekly at first to empower you with the knowledge and tools to set you up for long-term success. Then, weāll discuss a cadence that works to best support your goals.
