About Erika

I was born and raised in Brazil, where my passion for nutrition began at a young age. Growing up on a small farm, I watched my grandparents plant and harvest much of our food. I grew up watching my grandma using the power of plants to treat things like a cold or an upset stomach. I was always fascinated by this. This early interest led me to study nutrition and understand how food impacts our bodies. After earning my degree, I focused on helping patients with chronic conditions, such as kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, etc. I'm one of fewer than 30 board-certified specialists in renal nutrition in Florida. Whatever your goals are, I’d be happy to guide you on your journey.

Approach to care

During my time working as a dietitian, I see that most people have a basic understanding of nutrition. Nutrition can change the story of your life!!! My objective when working with you is to help you understand your condition and be confident in managing it.

Your first session with Erika

In our first consult we will spend time going over your medical history. We will establish what your current diet looks like and from there I will counsel you on dietary specific changes you can make to meet your goal.

I love to garden, I have a special place in my heart for orchids. I love to be in touch with nature, going on walks, hiking when I am not in Florida, going to the beach and walk with my fur baby.
