About Erin

Like most dietitians, I became a dietitian because I love food. I love to cook, I love to learn about food and I love the way it brings joy and nourishment to our body and soul. I decided to make it a career in 2018. After completing my Mater's Degree and dietetic internship at the University of Kentucky (go C-A-T-S), I knew I wanted to work as a nutrition counselor. I've held various roles in hospital systems and came to Nourish hoping to do things on my own time. When I am not talking about food (almost never) I love to read, snuggle my fur babies, fly planes and life heavy things.

Approach to care

My mission with my clients is to empower them to make those decisions confidently by providing the education and tools they need to nourish their bodies best. Here you will find a compassionate, "healthy at every size" approach. Contrary to what other health professionals and diet culture may have taught you, healthy bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and health is not dependent on being a "normal" weight. My goal is to help you cut through the overwhelming amount of (mis)information you may have been given and develop a peaceful and balanced relationship with food. I want you to feel free to enjoy the foods you love, with the confidence to know you are nourishing your body well. Whether it is improving your relationship with food, improving your gut health and function or managing a chronic disease- I've got you. I'm here to be your partner and your advocate on your nutrition journey.

Your first session with Erin

I like to get to know my patients so that I can better help you reach your goals. During your first session we certainly will talk about what brought you to Nourish, your goals and how you feel about your current habits. Once we've covered the basics I like to do what I call "treatment planning" which is a collaborative approach to determining how you would like to get from where you are, to where you want to be. Patients typically walk away with 1-2 set goals to work towards for their next session. From there we continue to build a step-by-step plan to get you to your goals!
