About Erin
I learned to read and practiced math using nutrition labels on the cereal box as a child. You could say nutrition has been a life long interest of mine. Then I was diagnosed with a food allergy as a teen and trying to figure out safe foods was a huge struggle that I navigated alone. But that struggle lead me to become a Dietitan. I wanted to learn more about food not just for myself but for the countless others in my situation struggling to know what food will nourish their bodies and which may harm it. I graduated from Howard University with my Bachelors in Nutritional Sciences.
Approach to care
I recognize that there are hundreds of factors that go into maintaining "good health", many that you can control and many you cannot. I will work with you on the ones that we can control, without judgement. We can work on how to prepare meals, what foods to buy, what supplements to leave on the shelf, how to fit balanced meals into a busy schedule and more.
Your first session with Erin
In your first session I just want to know what your struggles are, what are your goals, what foods you enjoy and which ones you dislike. Then I'll go over lab work and we'll develop a plan forward together. In order to make lasting changes this has to be a partnership from day one.
