About Erin
Hi, I’m Erin, a Registered Dietitian in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I earned my BS in Applied Food and Nutrition with a psychology minor from Grand Valley and completed my MS in Clinical Dietetics at Grand Valley. In my Supervised practice as a graduate student I had the chance to work in clinical and hospital settings, community health, and skilled nursing facilities, plus Lakeshore Food Club where I helped people with food access. Now as a Registered Dietitian, I work in a skilled nursing facility full-time and with nourish part-time! When I’m not meeting with clients, you’ll find me journaling, reading, crocheting, or cuddling with a cat. I’m here to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can explore your relationship with food together.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence with empathy. I stay current with research to ground our plan, but I meet you where you are and honor your lived experience. We’ll work together to build sustainable habits that fit your life, not a crash diet you abandon after a week. I aim to be warm and collaborative, offering clear, actionable steps and gentle accountability. I practice a Health At Every Size mindset, focusing on behaviors, nourishment, and wellbeing rather than a number on the scale. I also emphasize education so you feel confident making choices.
Your first session with Erin
Our first appointment is a conversation, not a verdict. We'll review medical history, your current relationship with food, and the goals or concerns you want to address. We’ll discuss what has worked for you in the past and what hasn’t, and together we’ll set short-term goals that feel doable. You don’t need to have it all figured out ahead of time; just show up as you are. By the end, you’ll have a sense of direction and a couple of practical steps to begin with.
