About Erin
Hi there, my name is Erin! I am a pediatric registered dietitian with a strong clinical background and a personal passion for helping families navigate complex health journeys. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at seven years old, and working with a dietitian during that time had a lasting impact on both me and my family. That experience inspired me to become a dietitian and shaped the supportive, empathetic approach I bring to my work today. I have worked in multiple hospital units and clinics, with my previous primary area of focus having been the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), caring for a wide range of ages and medical conditions. This background strengthened my ability to think creatively while delivering evidence-based care and translates well into counseling through strong rapport-building, teamwork, and thoughtful follow-up.
Approach to care
I believe in a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care. I work closely with families and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, effective solutions that support long-term health goals. My background in an acute care setting - along with my current role in a gastroenterology clinic - allows me to approach counseling with empathy, attention to detail, and a strong focus on problem-solving. I’m committed to staying up to date with the latest research, which helps me offer the best possible guidance in an ever-evolving field.
Your first session with Erin
During our first session, I focus on getting to know your child, your family, and your unique family dynamic. We’ll talk through your child’s medical history, current diagnoses, and any factors that may impact their nutritional needs. I also take time to understand what you’ve tried in the past, what has worked well, what hasn’t, and which aspects of nutrition are most important to your family. This session is collaborative and judgment-free. My goal is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and gain a full picture of your child’s needs so recommendations are both realistic and effective. By the end of our visit, you’ll leave with a clear, actionable nutrition plan supported by education, so you feel confident implementing changes at home.
