About Evita
Evita has been a Registered Dietitian since 2004, and a Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist since 2022. Her work experience is diverse, including nutrition research, clinical nutrition in a hospital setting involving a variety of diseases, and diabetes education. She has a husband and three growing kids, so she can relate with the challenges of fitting a healthy lifestyle into a busy schedule. She is originally from the Philippines, and enjoys food from many cultures including Filipino food! Evita is a follower of Jesus, which translates into a love and compassion for all people.
Approach to care
Evita likes to begin by building a relationship and gaining her clients' trust. She creates an atmosphere where people feel understood and practices using a client centered approach. She listens well, and helps her clients make short term and long-term goals that are attainable and sustainable. Each person is unique in terms of their nutritional and overall needs. Evita believes that everyone should be able to enjoy a wide variety of foods, while practicing mindful eating and including exercise in their daily routine. Evita will meet each individual where they are and walk with them through their health and wellness journey as needed!
