About Francine
Hi, I'm Francine! I'm a registered dietitian that focuses on sports nutrition, diabetes care, and heart health. With five years of experience as a dietitian, I've served as an associate athletic director for performance nutrition in D1 athletics, clinical dietitian, private practice consult specializing in sports nutrition from the high school to professional level, as well as taking on several leadership roles. I earned my BS and MS degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics (Exercise Science Emphasis) from South Dakota State University. I hold the CSSD, CSCS, and NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer licenses, in addition to my registered dietitian credentials. I bring a hands-on mix of science, coaching, and empathy to every client, and am so excited to help you along your nutrition journey. In my free time, you'll find me figure skating, running, lifting, reading, or cooking. I'm excited for the potential to work with you!
Approach to care
My care philosophy is evidence-based, client-centered, and nutrition strategies will vary depending on each unique individual I have the pleasure to work with. We'll base goals and objectives on current research and proven protocols, but we'll always tailor it to your life, preferences, and goals. My practice emphasizes sustainable behaviors, not quick fixes or dieting culture. I aim to support your mental and physical well-being, taking a holistic view of sleep, stress, activity, and food. I'm committed to educating you so you can confidently make informed choices that last.
Your first session with Francine
Think of our first visit as a conversation, not an exam! Our time will center on you. We'll explore your medical history, any past lab work, your relationship with food, current routines, and your nutrition goals. I'll listen to what has mattered to you and what hasn't, and we'll map out a realistic plan together. You don't need to have everything figured out; bring your questions and a sense of curiosity. By the end, we'll often identify 1 or 2 starter steps to begin in the coming weeks.
