About Gabrielle
Hello! I have been a dietitian for 14 years, working in both acute care and outpatient settings. I loved the fast pace of acute care, but I appreciate the opportunity to get to know my clients individually in outpatient settings, like this! I like that it's more relaxed, more authentic, and lets us dig in and figure things out. I am excited to help you meet your goals and build a healthy relationship with food! Aside from dietetics, I am a military spouse and mom to two rambunctious young kids, so that keeps me very busy!
Approach to care
I believe first and foremost in meeting clients where they are in life and helping to create goals and changes that work for them without guilt or judgment. I prioritize compassion while creating a space where clients feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I'm not anti-diet, but I don't love the term "diet" and the connotations associated with it. I prefer a holistic, science-backed approach to help clients make and keep healthy, satisfying food and lifestyle choices.
Your first session with Gabrielle
Our first session is really and truly a get-to-know-you session. It's more of a get-to-know-each-other conversation! We'll review things like your medical history, lifestyle, eating habits, what's worked for you in the past and what has not, goals, and expectations. The first session typically lasts about 55 minutes. From there, we'll build a plan with some goals.
