About Gabrielle

Hello! I have been a dietitian for 14 years, working in both acute care and outpatient settings with experience in diabetes, heart disease, weight loss, malnutrition, cancer, and aging. I loved the fast pace of acute care, but I appreciate the opportunity to get to know my clients individually in outpatient settings, like this! I like that it's more relaxed, more authentic, and lets us dig in and figure things out. I am excited to help you meet your goals and build a healthy relationship with food!

Approach to care

I believe first and foremost in meeting you where you are in life and then helping you create goals and changes that work for you without guilt or judgment. I'm not here to be the food police or tsk you for your choices (listen, I don't like kale and have a sweet tooth and I'm not afraid to admit it). I prioritize compassion while creating a space where you can feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I'm not anti-diet, but I don't love the term "diet" and the connotations associated with it. I prefer a holistic, science-backed approach to help you make and keep healthy, satisfying food and lifestyle choices.

Your first session with Gabrielle

Our first session is really and truly a get-to-know-you conversation! We will dig in! We'll review things like your medical history, lifestyle, eating habits, what's worked for you in the past and what has not, goals, and expectations. The first session typically lasts about 55 minutes. From there, we can discover what some of your roadblocks may be (busy schedule, anyone? Unrealistic goals, maybe? Not sure where to begin?) and then make a plan that works for YOU. This might be micro goals, tweaks to habits, working on a grocery list, finding ways to fit foods you actually like into your life, mindfulness, or food journaling. I hope you leave our sessions feeling pumped and motivated with a plan to achieve your goals. I'm here for YOU.
