About Gabrielle
Hi, I’m Gabrielle! I’m a Registered Dietitian, published author, and lifelong advocate for making nutrition practical, personal, and empowering. My passion began 17 years ago after being diagnosed with celiac disease and multiple food allergies, teaching me how powerfully nutrition can impact health, energy, and daily life. I hold a Master’s in Nutrition & Dietetic Practice from Thomas Jefferson University and a Bachelor’s in Nutrition & Dietetics from NYU. My career spans clinical, community, and public health settings, with unique roles at NASA’s Nutritional Biochemistry Lab, the FDA, The Broadway Dietitian, and NBC’s TODAY Show expert Joy Bauer. In 2020, I published When Food Can Kill You: What The World Needs To Know, inspired by my journey and others navigating special dietary needs. I blend science and lived experience to help clients make sustainable changes with confidence.
Approach to care
I believe nutrition is not about restriction—it’s about building a way of eating that works for you and your lifestyle. My role is to meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and work alongside you to create a plan that feels both realistic and sustainable. I use motivational interviewing to help uncover what truly matters to you, so your goals are rooted in your values—not just numbers on a scale or food rules. Every recommendation I make is grounded in current science, personalized to your needs, and flexible enough to adapt as life changes.
Your first session with Gabrielle
Your first session is all about getting to know you—your health history, current habits, challenges, and goals. We’ll discuss what’s been working, what hasn’t, and what you hope to achieve through nutrition counseling. I’ll ask about your medical background, lifestyle, and any lab results or diagnoses you may have, so we can form a complete picture of your health. You’ll leave the session with a clear understanding of the next steps, a few practical strategies to start right away, and a plan for how we’ll work together moving forward. My goal for that first meeting is simple: you feel heard, understood, and confident that you have a partner who will help you reach your goals—without unnecessary restriction or overwhelm.
