About Genevieve
Genevieve is an anti-diet and Health at Every Size-aligned Registered Dietitian based out of New York City. She has experience working in all levels of eating disorder care including Residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. She provides a safe, non-judgmental space for her clients as they journey to make peace with food and their bodies and discover a healthy relationship with food. She finds great joy in being a part of each client’s road to food freedom in which they break away from food rules and food judgments to embrace life fully according to their authentic values.
Approach to care
Genevieve utilizes a weight-inclusive, HAES (Health at Every Size), anti-diet approach while incorporating Intuitive Eating principles. She approaches care with the understanding that you are the expert on yourself, and she offers evidence-based, compassionate care as guidance along the way. Genevieve is collaborative, holistic, and compassionate, and she provides person-centered counseling to meet people where they are at in their journey. She helps her clients leave sessions feeling empowered and armed with the knowledge of how to compassionately care for their own bodies through a lens of curiosity instead of judgement.
Your first session with Genevieve
Genevieve will get to know you as you as person and gain an understanding of the type of support you are looking for. She will focus on you as a whole person and invite you to share your story while also asking questions to better understand your relationship with food and your body, your health history, lifestyle, and other factors that may be impacting your ability to nourish yourself. Genevieve understands how scary (and exciting!) it can be to reach out for support, so she will also hold space for you to voice questions, hesitations, and concerns surrounding the process of healing your relationship with food and your body.
