About Gina
I've been a dietitian for close to 20 years and have experience as a supermarket dietitian, a university dietitian, and am now following my passion as an Intuitive Eating Counselor, helping people improve their relationship with food and their body, without a focus on weight. When I'm not working, I'm hosting a podcast, reading, engaging in joyful movement, learning to play pickleball, trying to be good at golf, exploring all different types of ice cream (my favorite is S'mores from Graeter's), and traveling as much as possible!
Approach to care
I'm an inclusive healthcare provider who uses a weight-neutral approach to developing sound health and nutrition habits and behaviors. I use humor and empathy, as well as a well developed knowledge of the stages of change and motivational interviewing, in my one-on-one sessions. My philosophy is that all foods fit, and food should be fun and satisfying, not guilt inducing or stressful. I understand your needs are unique, and will work with you to align those needs with your lifestyle. I want to help you find satisfaction in food, listen to your body, and use self-care to heal any emotional eating. All told, I want food to bring you joy and balance, not stress and guilt.
Your first session with Gina
I want to get to know you. The first session will focus on who you are and why you have decided to see a dietitian. What are your short term and long term goals? What has worked in the past, and what hasn't? I also want you to get comfortable with me, so you feel this is a safe space to be open and honest. My goal is for you to leave each session having a bit more self-compassion and self-trust.
