About Gina
Hi, I’m Gina! I’m a registered dietitian with more than 10 years of experience helping people use nutrition as a tool to support their health and quality of life. Throughout my career, I've worked with clients with a wide range of medical conditions in various care settings including community and teaching hospitals, outpatient clinics, and in a private practice alongside a functional medicine doctor. Most recently, I’ve specialized in outpatient care at Duke University hospital, supporting individuals with weight management, pre-diabetes and diabetes, kidney, liver, heart, and lung disease—many of whom were preparing for or recovering from organ transplant. I view nutrition as a key component of overall well-being—one important piece of the larger health puzzle. I believe that when we feel well and are taking care of ourselves, we’re able to bring more energy, empathy, and compassion into every part of our lives and to those around us.
Approach to care
Navigating nutrition in today’s world can feel overwhelming and confusing. My goal is to simplify it for you—tailoring guidance to your unique needs and lifestyle. Together, we’ll take a practical, enjoyable approach, creating clear and actionable steps that empower you to reach your goals and create lasting, meaningful changes to improve your health. Most importantly, you’ll be supported with kindness, understanding, and zero judgment every step of the way.
Your first session with Gina
During our first session together, I will take the time to get to know you and learn about your reasons for seeking nutritional guidance. I will gather some key information such as medical history, lab data, eating patterns, lifestyle and more to better understand your individual needs. Together, we will come up with short-term and long-term health goals and I will provide actionable recommendations and resources to help you meet these goals. Whether you are looking for support managing a medical condition, or are simply interested in improving your eating habits, I look forward to working with you!
