About Gitit

I am a Registered Dietitian originally from NYC and now based in South Florida. I have a background in nutrition education, school foodservice, research, and counseling for adults. I work primarily with adults who struggle to prioritize health, for a variety of reasons, whether because healthy food is expensive, you have many other responsibilities at home, or you have trouble getting motivated. I also like to encourage my patients to be introspective and ask questions like "Why am I craving this?" or "What about this food packaging is so appealing?" so that they can take charge of their own health. I believe that dietitians are meant to challenge their clients to learn more about themselves and the food environment they live in and how to feel satisfied in good health. Whatever your health goals are, let's tackle them together!

Approach to care

My approach is that health takes into account the whole person, including your medical history, stressors, sleep, eating and exercise. I focus on identifying your goals, priorities, barriers, and discuss small, achievable changes that can support better health and happiness. I will be there to hold you accountable if you need it, while making a point to celebrate every win, because small changes make a big difference. Nutrition and health is for the long haul, so I'm here to help you plan sustainable lifestyle habits that nourish your body and make you feel good!

Your first session with Gitit

Our first session is focused on learning about you and what brings you to a dietitian. It may feel like a lot of intake during the first session, but that is intentional so we set a good foundation for our future sessions. We will likely cover your current eating habits, health goals and start chipping at any possible barriers to reaching your goals.
