About Grace
Hi I'm Grace! Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Type 1 diabetic, passionate about helping others discover a healthy, peaceful relationship with food. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of seven, and that experience sparked my lifelong love for nutrition. Growing up as a dancer and athlete—throughout childhood, high school, and even into collegiate competition—I learned firsthand how deeply food impacts both performance and well-being. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition from Illinois State University, where I deepened my understanding of how food connects to every part of life. My goal is to help others find balance and joy in nourishing their bodies, free from shame or fear, and to make food a source of confidence and care rather than stress.
Approach to care
I believe that nourishment is about so much more than numbers—it’s about connection, healing, and finding peace with food. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating eating disorders and disordered eating, as well as those living with all scopes of diabetes who want to manage their health without restriction or fear. My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where clients can explore their relationship with food and body image at their own pace. I am passionate about helping each person reconnect with their body’s cues, rediscover trust in their own hunger and fullness, and build confidence in making food choices that feel both nourishing and satisfying. Whether you’ve just been diagnosed with diabetes, have been managing it for years, or are facing the challenges of an eating disorder, I’m here to support you with care and understanding
Your first session with Grace
In our first session, you can expect a conversation where I’ll gather a thorough nutrition background to better understand your relationship with food and how it impacts your daily life. Together, we’ll discuss your goals and create a personalized plan to help you reach them in a way that feels realistic and supportive. My goal is to meet you where you are and guide you at whatever pace feels most comfortable for you
