About Haela

My background blends clinical nutrition, culinary expertise, and mindfulness practices. I’ve provided inpatient and outpatient medical nutrition therapy in South Carolina, and worked with clients to create practical meal plans and achieve weight loss goals. Beyond clinical work, I also teach yoga, and have previously worked on urban farms and gardens, taught nutrition, gardening and cooking to kids and families, and have even worked as a retreat chef. These experiences, along with my own journey of healing my relationship with food, inspire my compassionate and holistic approach to care.

Approach to care

My approach is all about collaboration and meeting you where you are in your wellness journey. Together, we’ll explore your unique needs and challenges to set realistic, sustainable goals that fit your lifestyle and help you feel confident in your choices. I use evidence-based nutrition therapy along with mindfulness practices to create a flexible, balanced approach that works for you. Whether it’s improving gut health, managing a medical condition, loosing excess weight, or addressing emotional eating, I’m here to support you every step of the way with tools, guidance, and encouragement to help you thrive.

Your first session with Haela

Our first session is all about getting to know you—what matters to you, what’s been getting in the way, and what support you need to move forward. We’ll explore your medical history, eating patterns, and priorities so I can fully understand your story. From there, we’ll begin building a strong foundation for metabolic health—one rooted in balanced meals, intentional timing, and strategies that actually work in your real life. You’ll leave with clarity, confidence, and a personalized plan that fits your lifestyle—not the other way around.
