About Haley
Food and daily routines are the threads I use to help people build healthier, more sustainable lives. I earned a BS and an MS in Nutrition Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed a dietetic internship through Lenoir-Rhyne University. Over 13 years as a Registered Dietitian I've worked in clinical and hospital settings, private practice, research and academia, and long-term care, including oncology, outpatient, and pediatrics. As an RDN and LDN I combine scientific training with practical problem solving. Outside of work I love cooking, running, boating, and caring for my indoor plants, and I bring that same curiosity and steadiness to helping patients create lasting habits.
Approach to care
I practice with a weight-neutral lens, grounding recommendations in current evidence while treating you with empathy and respect. We'll work together to translate science-backed strategies into clear, manageable actions that fit your life. Education matters, so I explain the why behind suggestions and teach skills you can use long term. My goal is not quick fixes but sustainable behavior change, honoring the whole person, mental and physical, and meeting you where you are without judgment.
Your first session with Haley
Expect a calm, collaborative visit where we review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have, then take a thoughtful look at your relationship with food. We'll talk about what has felt doable, what has felt hard, and set one or two short-term goals to get you moving forward. You don't need to have everything figured out ahead of time. This is a low-pressure conversation, and we'll leave with practical next steps we can adjust together as you progress.
