About Hannah
Hello, I’m Hannah and I love being a dietitian! My main specialty is in eating disorders and disordered eating but I’ve also helped clients with diabetes, renal disease, and cardiovascular disease. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including an eating disorder treatment center (RTC, PHP, and IOP levels of care), outpatient private practice, and a community nutrition education program. I love helping my clients find peace with food and feel confident in their own nutrition knowledge. I look forward to helping you too!
Approach to care
I provide my clients with nutrition support specific to their unique needs. I believe that even when people have the same diagnosis, their path to recovery or improved health can be vastly different. My nutrition philosophy is that ALL foods can fit into nutritious eating pattern. I strive to help my clients find freedom with food so that they don’t feel restricted by their condition, whether it be an eating disorder, heart disease, or something else. It’s important to me that my clients can enjoy the foods they eat - food doesn’t just bring us nourishment, it brings us joy and comfort too! I take a very weight-neutral approach with all my clients - meaning I don't focus on weight loss as a measure of success for anyone's health journey. If weight loss is your primary goal, I'm probably not the right dietitian for you.
Your first session with Hannah
In our first meeting we will get to know each other and go over expectations for our work together. Once I understand what you’re goals are I can go over a general game plan for how I can help you with your nutrition goals. I’ll also review my nutrition philosophy to make sure we’re on the same page with what my support will look like. To personalize your care, it’ll also be important for me to gain a general understanding of your nutrition history and any current life factors that affect your eating habits.
