About Hayven
Hi there! My name is Hayven Sea, and I am so proud of you for taking the first step in achieving your nutrition-related goals. I am a New England-er at heart, and am passionate about supporting people in identifying their unique preferences and desires in order to support optimal wellbeing throughout all seasons of their lives. I received my bachelor's degree in nutrition at UMass Amherst, a beautiful campus in the heart of the Pioneer Valley. Next, I got my master's degree in nutrition in Houston, Texas. Now, I'm back home in western Massachusetts, near all of my family and close friends. When I'm not at work, researching nutrition topics, or exploring fun new foods in the grocery store, you can find me playing with my two baby boys (my cats Tofu and Portobello), playing board games with friends, skiing, or hiking with friends and family. I truly cannot wait to help you achieve your health-related goals in a sustainable and impactful way.
Approach to care
My approach to care and counselling is one steeped in compassion, consideration for the whole person, and highlighted with sustainability. We cannot achieve our goals by fighting ourselves, hating ourselves, or trying to change ourselves too much. My goal is not to change who you are or what you do, but to instead help you find creative and personalized interventions that can help you live a more full, optimized, nutritious life - without giving up the things in life that you really care about, make you who you are, and bring you joy. I aim to combine research-based and evidence-based nutrition therapy with practical and realistic goal setting, kind and compassionate accountability, positive support, and flexible and creative problem solving. These are all essential ingredients, I believe, to a recipe for long-lasting behavior change and positive nutrition habits that support a life of overall health, wellbeing, movement, and contentment.
Your first session with Hayven
I hope for our first session together to provide ample time for us to get to know each other, discuss your needs, goals, and preferences, and see if I can provide you all that you need to be successful in your journey. There is no one right way for us to meet, and there are so many potential options for good paths forward.
