About Heather
Hi, Iâm Heather, a Registered Dietitian with 22 years of experience. I earned my degree from Long Island University CW Post and have practiced across clinical and hospital care, private practice, research and academia, community health, corporate wellness, and sports nutrition. I carry credentials including RD, CDN, CDCES and MS to guide science-based yet compassionate care. Outside of work youâll find me on the mat doing Pilates or yoga, lifting weights, tending a garden, traveling, or creating simple, nourishing recipes. I value connection and real-life progress.
Approach to care
My care philosophy centers on an evidence-based, empathetic, and collaborative approach. I believe food is fuel, comfort, culture and a powerful tool for wellbeing, and I meet you where you are. Together we'll build a plan grounded in the latest science while honoring your values. I practice with a HAES lens, focusing on sustainable behaviors rather than rules. My approach is warm and nonjudgmental, and I aim to empower you with knowledge so you can make informed decisions that stick long term, not diet culture.
Your first session with Heather
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history and lab work, dive into your relationship with food, and establish short-term goals. Iâll listen to whatâs worked and what hasnât, and weâll co-create a meal plan that fits your routine and tastes. You donât need to have everything figured out before we meet; this is a collaborative conversation designed to reduce anxiety and set you up for momentum. Youâll leave with clarity, compassion, and a practical next step for your journey.
