Patient reviews
“Heather was so wonderful! She was so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable during our initial consult. She was able to make me feel at ease with starting this new journey. We set up small goals to achieve that are completely doable. She gave me the direction I needed all along! If you are on the fence of talking with a dietitian or need help getting started, I would highly recommend Heather! Outstanding job!“

About Heather
I'm a Registered & Licensed Dietitian, Certified Personal Trainer and Integrative & Functional Medicine Practitioner. I've been in practice for 25 years! I take a very integrative & holistic approach to health & nutrition to get to the root cause of your health issues. I'm also a mom of 2 boys and I live on a farm where we have chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese and 2 dogs. I've had my own struggles with different health issues but through proper nutrition, exercise, stress management and lifestyle changes, I feel like I got my life back and I'm passionate about helping others do the same!
Approach to care
My approach to care is: 1.) to listen to my patients first. I find in this day in age, people tend to not feel heard from their health care practitioners so I really try to listen. 2.) to meet people where they are currently. My intention is not to take away all of your favorite foods and make you be on a restrictive diet because I've found too often that doesn't work long-term. We will work together to make small changes and those changes may be even adding certain foods instead of taking them away. 3.) Making small changes. Making that change a habit, then once you've made that change a habit, making another small change. Making small changes leads to a big change and success.
Your first session with Heather
In the first session, there will be an assessment with lots of questions on your current routines/lifestyle and eating habits. I like to get to know the people I'm working with and look at the whole picture: nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, emotions, mindset, lab work, supplements/medications etc. in order for me to help you the best I can. After the assessment is complete, we will develop a plan together based on your needs and goals and there will be education on how to implement the plan.
