About Heather
As a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) with a Master of Public Health (MPH), I am passionate about empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools to make informed nutrition choices. With experience in clinical care, I take an evidence-based approach to nutrition counseling, helping clients build sustainable habits that support overall health and well-being. My goal is to simplify nutrition science, provide practical guidance, and create a supportive space for individuals to feel confident in their health journey. Whether you're looking to improve your eating habits, understand nutrition better, or make lasting lifestyle changes, I'm here to help you every step of the way.
Approach to care
I believe that nutrition is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is rooted in evidence-based education, personalized guidance, and a commitment to making nutrition practical and sustainable. I strive to meet each individual where they are, helping them build realistic habits that fit their lifestyle, preferences, and health goals. I also recognize the importance of cultural food traditions and incorporate them into nutrition planning to ensure that changes are both meaningful and enjoyable. Rather than focusing on restrictive diets, I emphasize balance, mindful eating, and long-term well-being. Through compassionate support and clear, science-backed recommendations, I empower clients to make informed choices and take charge of their health with confidence.
Your first session with Heather
Your first session is all about getting to know you and your unique health journey. We’ll start with a conversation about your lifestyle, eating habits, health history, and any goals or concerns you have. I take a non-judgmental, supportive approach to understanding your needs while considering factors like cultural food preferences, daily routines, and personal challenges. Together, we’ll discuss realistic, sustainable strategies tailored to your life, whether that’s making small adjustments to your current habits or setting long-term wellness goals. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions, gain clarity on nutrition topics, and feel empowered to take the next steps with confidence. By the end of our time together, you’ll walk away with a personalized plan and practical tools to help you make informed, balanced nutrition choices that work for you.
