About Heather
Hi, I’m Heather. I have 18 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, with my Dietetics training from Kansas State University. My career spans clinical and hospital settings, including metabolic support, outpatient education, a cardiac class, renal and dialysis, and food service. When I’m not at work, I love cooking, reading, and crafting. I’m passionate about helping people understand how health and food are connected, and I believe knowledge is power. I bring warmth, collaboration, and a patient, listening presence to every session, and I’ll meet you where you are as we explore what matters most to you.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence with empathy. I stay grounded in current science and proven practices, but I’m dedicated to a collaborative, nonjudgmental partnership with you. I avoid quick fixes and dieting culture, embracing a Health At Every Size approach that centers behavior and well being over numbers. My practice is holistic, considering sleep, stress, relationships with food, and daily routines as part of real, lasting change. I also see education as essential, empowering you with clear information so you can make informed choices that fit your life long term.
Your first session with Heather
Our first visit is all about you. We’ll start by reviewing your medical history and current health picture, then establish short-term goals that feel doable. We’ll take a deeper look at your relationship with food and how it shows up in your daily life. There’s no need to have everything figured out before we meet; we’ll navigate questions together with curiosity and compassion. By the end, we’ll outline a small, actionable next step to begin building a sustainable path toward the changes you want.
