About Hillary
I started my career as a Registered Dietitian in 2013, previously working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Working with low-income populations, elementary schools and daycares, hospitals, and weight loss clinics have helped shape the clinician I am today. I have most recently, worked extensively with weight loss and Bariatric surgery patients. As a breast cancer survivor, I know the struggles that life can bring and I strive to empower and inspire my patients to live their best quality of life. I live in sunny Tampa and enjoy spending time outside (when it's not sweltering) with my family and friends.
Approach to care
I feel it is very important to use an individualized approach when caring for patients. Nutrition is not one size fits all! I have training in motivational interviewing and mindful eating and work hard to create an environment that is comfortable and uplifting.
Your first session with Hillary
It is very important for me to build a relationship with you that allows you to feel safe and comfortable in sharing your concerns, questions, and goals. We will begin talking about what brought you to Nourish, review your health history, current eating habits, pertinent labs and medications, and complete a comprehensive nutrition assessment. We will work together to create an individualized plan based on realistic expectations, sustainable changes, and short-term and long-term goals. Through our follow-up sessions we will fine tune your plan, discuss relevant nutrition resources and education, and review progress and expectations.
