About Holly
Hi there! I’m Holly Herrington, a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist — and I’ve been helping people feel better in their bodies for almost 20 years. Yes… twenty! I know, I can’t believe it either. Over the years, I’ve supported people with just about every nutrition goal — from weight loss (including bariatric surgery and GLP-1 medications) and weight gain to metabolic health, diabetes, heart health, and women’s health concerns like PCOS and perimenopause. I also specialize in the tougher, more confusing conditions like IBS, gastroparesis, and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS). If it feels like your symptoms are calling the shots, my job is to help you feel in control again. I grew up in Nashville, TN but have lived in Chicago for the last 18 years. When I've got some spare time you can find me reading, outside with my dog, Winnie, or curled up on the couch with a good Netflix show.
Approach to care
My approach is simple: Food should make you feel good, not stressed. Nutrition should fit into your real life, not the other way around. And your plan should feel doable, supportive, and tailored to you. Nutrition isn't a "one size fits all" garment. Whether your goal is to lose weight, gain strength, manage blood sugars, improve your gut health, or just understand how to eat in a way that actually works for your body — I’m here to make that process easier, clearer, and a whole lot more enjoyable.
Your first session with Holly
In our first appointment, I want to hear your story—your goals, what has or hasn’t worked in the past, and what you want to change now. Then we’ll build a plan that fits YOU. We’ll check in regularly to see how things are going, and if something isn’t working, we’ll adjust the plan until it does.
