About Ian

Hi, I'm Ian from Pittsburgh. Over the last seven years as a Registered Dietitian, I've learned that real change happens when science meets everyday life. I earned an MS in Exercise Science & Wellness from Liberty University and a BS in Dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My work spans clinical settings, private practice, corporate wellness, and sports nutrition, and I’ve had the privilege of counseling hundreds of people and athletes from diverse backgrounds. Outside the clinic, you’ll find me hiking, skiing, lifting, or hanging with my two German Shepherds. I keep things practical and personal, meeting you where you are and helping you build a healthier relationship with food that fits your life.

Approach to care

My care philosophy is grounded in evidence and humanity. I listen with warmth and curiosity and translate science into clear, doable steps. I work with a direct and action-oriented approach that respects your pace and your goals. I favor a holistic view that considers sleep, stress, movement, and mood, and I practice with a focus on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. With my RD credentials and CSSD specialization, I bring a sports nutrition lens when athletes want to optimize performance, but the emphasis is always on you as a whole person. We'll co-create a plan that fits your life and builds lasting change.

Your first session with Ian

Our first session is a welcoming, judgment-free space. It’s all about you; we'll review your medical history, explore your relationship with food, and identify barriers and priorities. We'll set 1-2 short-term, realistic goals and map out a practical plan that aligns with your lifestyle. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we meet. I’ll ask questions, listen deeply, and we’ll determine the best path forward together. There is no pressure, just collaborative momentum toward sustainable change.
