About Ilkay
Hi, I'm Ilkay. I'm a registered dietitian in Onalaska, Wisconsin, with 3 years of experience helping people build healthier relationships with food. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Mugla University in Turkiye and a Master of Science in Food and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Wisconsin Stout. My work has spanned private practice, clinical settings, and research, and I’m guided by evidence, empathy, and collaboration. When I’m not working, I love cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I’m especially focused on supporting people with chronic health conditions.
Approach to care
Together, we'll build a care plan that sticks. I bring an evidence-based, science-forward approach and a warm, nonjudgmental demeanor to every session. We'll set clear, achievable steps and track progress in a way that honors your life, preferences, and values. I'm committed to a health process that emphasizes sustainability, not quick fixes, and I work from a weight-neutral, HAES-informed perspective. Our work will be holistic, addressing food, sleep, stress, and daily routines so you feel equipped to make informed choices long term.
Your first session with Ilkay
Our first appointment is a conversation about you. We'll explore your medical history, labs or biomarkers you want to share, and your relationship with food and meals. I will listen deeply, and we will identify 1-2 short-term goals to get momentum. There is no pressure to have everything figured out before you walk in the door; we will shape a practical plan together that fits your schedule and life. You will leave with clarity about what comes next and a sense of empowerment.
