About Ilona
I am a Registered Dietitian with clinical experience in hospitals and outpatient nutrition center. My specialties include, but are not limited to cardiovascular, renal diseases, diabetes, weight management, oncology, nutrition support, and gastrointestinal diseases. Through my expertise, I am able to help my clients reach personal nutrition as well as lifestyle goals for improved health and well-being. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from MSU with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics, I went on to New York University and completed Masters of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition, and NYU Dietetic Internship Program with residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. My passion for nutrition extends into all areas of my busy life. I am an avid cook who enjoys creating recipes and trying new ingredients and preparation techniques. I enjoys yoga, reading, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
Approach to care
I have non-traditional approach to counseling clients. Instead of focusing on “dieting”, I will guide you towards a wholesome relationship with food that will improve your health. I personalize every session to meet your specific needs and provide the tools for sustainable changes that will last a lifetime. My goal is to customize a viable solution that will work for YOU!
Your first session with Ilona
In your first nutrition session with me, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free conversation focused entirely on you. We’ll start by exploring your health history, current eating habits, lifestyle, and any symptoms or challenges you’ve been experiencing. I’ll ask about your goals—whether they’re related to energy, digestion, mood, chronic conditions, or your relationship with food—so we can build a plan that fits your unique needs and preferences. This session is about getting a clear picture of where you are now and identifying a few realistic, supportive steps to move forward. You’ll leave with a personalized action plan and a better understanding of how we’ll work together to help you feel your best—physically and mentally.
