About Inshaallah
As a dedicated nutrition professional, I bring extensive experience working with diverse populationsâfrom expectant mothers and young children in the public health arena to individuals at the tertiary end of care, including those in long-term care, oncology, and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) settings. In recent years, I have witnessed an alarming trend: younger individualsâespecially minority womenâdeveloping kidney failure, driven not only by diabetes but also by unmanaged hypertension. This has deepened my commitment to early, preventative nutrition and lifestyle education. My goal is to reach individuals while they still feel wellâbefore the onset of chronic disease.
Approach to care
My service is built on a cognitive behavior therapy approach encompassing a personalized, supportive process designed to guide patients toward lasting health improvements. I focus on three key steps: 1. Guidance and Motivation I serve as a guide on the side, helping each patient explore and verbalize their personal motivation and reasons for seeking nutrition support. This foundation creates a meaningful starting point for lasting change. 2. Simple and Actionable Assessment I provide an assessment that is easy to understand and apply. Together, we identify areas for improvement and create a pathway of SMART goalsâSpecific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-boundâthat are realistic and manageable.
Your first session with Inshaallah
Your first session will focus on understanding your unique health status and nutrition goals. Weâll start with a brief introduction to get to know each other and build a genuine connectionâbecause feeling comfortable and understood is the foundation of good care. Registered Dietitians (RDs) enjoy food just like everyone else and understand the real-life challenges that come with making changes. You can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share openly about your habits, preferences, and experiences. During the session, youâll be asked about your health history and complete a 24-hour diet recall. This information helps your RD provide personalized, effective Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) tailored specifically to your needs and lifestyle.

Hobbies
I love a brisk walk in the sunshine at a park, mall, museum or flee market. It doesn't really matter as long the activity, it is better with friends, family and people I love. Other hobbies include dancing, researching the latest medical, herbal and lifestyle interventions for womenâs health, healthy aging, neurological health and exercise.
