About Iris
Hi, I'm Iris. I have more than 13 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian and a Master of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition. My career spans clinical nutrition in the hospital, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care/nursing home, and dialysis center settings. These settings allowed me to translate science into practical, everyday eating. I carry certifications including Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist as part of my ongoing commitment to my profession. When I’m not at work, I love cooking and experimenting with lower sugar, fat, and sodium recipes. I also enjoy reading, researching, and organizing.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence with empathy and collaboration. I believe in an evidence based approach, so we’ll ground our plan in current research while I also get to know you as you are the expert on your life. I work with warmth and without judgment, and I’ll be direct about what fits your schedule and preferences. I practice with a health at every size mindset, focusing on sustainable habits and behaviors rather than quick fixes. We’ll address the whole person and educate you along the way so you can make informed choices that last.
Your first session with Iris
Think of our first appointment as a conversation about you. We’ll dive into your relationship with food, review medical history, and talk through goals and concerns. We’ll also look at any lab work or biometrics you’ve had done and use that information to shape a realistic plan. By the end, we’ll establish 1 to 2 short term goals and begin drafting a meal plan that fits your tastes, budget, and lifestyle. No pressure, just a supportive, collaborative start.
