About Israel
I am a bilingual (Spanish) Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Master Certified Health Education Specialist with a Master of Public Health in Nutrition, based in California. I have experience providing medical nutrition therapy, public health education, and chronic disease prevention strategies. I am passionate about making nutrition approachable and culturally relevant for all individuals, especially the Hispanic/Latino community. My goal is to empower clients with knowledge, support sustainable behavior change, and help them achieve lasting improvements in their health and wellness.
Approach to care
My approach to care is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based strategies. I incorporate Motivational Interviewing, the Transtheoretical Model of Change, and behavior modification theories to guide clients through realistic and sustainable changes. I believe in meeting clients where they are in their journey and building care plans that honor their values, cultural background, and lifestyle. Through a supportive and non-judgmental environment, I help clients set personalized goals, develop confidence, and build lifelong healthy habits.
Your first session with Israel
During your first session, we will spend time exploring your health history, nutrition habits, lifestyle, and personal goals. I will listen carefully to your experiences and needs to understand where you are starting from. Together, we will create an individualized nutrition care plan that is realistic, culturally sensitive, and aligned with your health priorities. You can expect a welcoming environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward your wellness goals.
